I started running when I was 17 years old, just for exercise. I quickly fell in love with running. I joined the Charles Page High School cross country team my senior year of high school. During this season I ran a 12:05 two mile run, which was the school record. I qualified for the 6A Oklahoma State Cross Country Meet in 2008 where I finished 32nd. At the time CPHS did not have a track team, so a couple other runners, a volunteer coach, and I trained and competed for CPHS Track. We did not have a track, so we marked a 400 meter loop with spray paint on the practice football field. I qualified for the 6A Oklahoma State Track Meet in 2009 where I competed in the 3200-meter-run, I finished 11th.
I received a scholarship to run cross country at East Central University. I became the captain of ECU's cross country team during the spring of my freshman year, a position I held until my graduation in 2013. In 2011, I ran a 18:49 5K which earned a spot on the ECU Record Board as the 6th fastest 5K in school history. I helped my team win the Great American Conference Championships in 2012, where I finished 5th individually.
I was the student assistant coach for Southern Nazarene University's cross country team in the fall of 2013, and I competed for SNU's track team in 2014. I competed at the NCCAA Track Nationals in the 5K and 10K events.
When I am not running I am a general manager of a national commercial insurance company.
I have a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration - Entrepreneurship from East Central University and a Master's of Business Administration - Health Care (MBA-HC) from Southern Nazarene University.
